Route suitable for lovers of historic landscapes and rural architecture, who wish to discover the Puglian countryside accompanied by a local guide who knows the local nature, traditions and history well. Departing from the small town of Montalbano we will cross the Piana degli Olivi Monumentali, observing the different types of landscape that characterise it, visiting some historic farmsteads where olive oil was produced in underground presses and arriving finally at the Dolmen, a megalithic monument dating back to the bronze age. A picnic is planned along the way, plus a tasting of olive oil at a modern-day olive oil mill on the return leg of the tour.
